We are super excited to announce that the Yazoo County School District is offering a Pre-Kindergarten Program at Bentonia-Gibbs Elementary School and Linwood Elementary School.
Names are currently being placed on a waiting list for the upcoming 2019-2020 school year. To qualify to register for the Pre-K Program, your child must:
- be four years old on or before September 1, 2019
- reside within the Yazoo County School District
- be fully toilet trained
The Early Childhood Pre-K Program is funded with Title I funds. To determine eligibility for the program, each child must be screened with a Mississippi Department of Education approved screener. Applying does not guarantee acceptance of your child. Children who demonstrate a need for a preschool program will be placed in the program first. Space is limited; our Pre-K Program is limited to serving 60 students (Bentonia-Gibbs 40 students and Linwood 20 students)per school year.

- Certified Birth Certificate (long form)
- A certificate of Immunization Compliance Form 121 (original)
- Social Security Card
- Two Current Proofs of Residency to Establish Residence Within YCSD
