  • Hello and welcome to the 2023-2024 school year!

I will be teaching Drivers Education this school year. Along with Drivers Education, I am also the head boys soccer coach, assistant girls soccer coach, assistant baseball coach and assistant middle school football coach. I always try to make my classroom where students feel safe and learn valuable life skills. Driving is one of the first freedoms young adults get to experience, and I want to make sure they learn how to be safe on the road! Drivers Education is the only class on campus that gives you the privilege to leave school every day while earning a grade.

    A little about myself:

This is my 7th and a half year teaching (I began mid school year when I first arrived here). I am originally from Illinois. I graduated from Blackburn College in Carlinville, Illinois (one of only 1 of 10 work colleges in the U.S.). I have unfortunately left the teaching profession twice and have done everything from managing a gym, to working in a juvenile prison, and working on a tow-boat. I always find myself going back to the education field because I am passionate about shaping and molding the young minds of our future leaders. My goal is to teach kids life-skills they will be able to use and hopefully teach their children one day. Whether that is driving, how to prepare for something, hard work and consistency, or anything far and inbetween.

I am married to my wife Mariah and have 2 amazing children that attend Bentonia-Gibbs. We have a mini-farm that has chickens, goats, dogs, geese, ducks, and hedgehogs which always keeps us busy. I love playing sports and am a very competitive person. When I have the time, I love working out, going hunting and fishing, and enjoy learning how to do new things. I am an avid Chicago Bears, Cubs, Bulls, and Blackhawks fan. My favorite college is Ole Miss (GO REBS!).

I am looking forward and going to make this school year the best one yet!
