I am DeWayne Profit, and I am the Assistant Principal at Yazoo County High School. Before becoming Assistant Principal for the 2022-2023 school year, I served as the Computer Lab, Physical Education, & Health  teacher at Linwood Elementary in the Yazoo County School District. I coached basketball and was a beta club sponsor. I served at Linwood for 5 years. Last year was great as a 1st year assistant principal and I am ready for what 2023 brings. I am a native of Clarksdale, MS, where I also attended Clarksdale High School (Go Wildcats). I am a graduate of Mississippi Valley State University(Go Devils) with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Mississippi State University (Hail State).  I also hold a Specialist in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University (Go Wolves). This year will be my 12th year in education, and I am excited to start fresh and improve each and every day.
