In his current role as Assistant Superintendent, Dr. Taylor oversees Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment, school district Facilities and Maintenance, serves as Technology Director, and as the 16th Section Land Manager. Most recently, Dr. Taylor served as principal of Yazoo County High School with other stints as principal, assistant principal, teacher, coach, and university professor at various Mississippi public schools and universities in his twenty years of educational experience, fourteen of which have been in a leadership role.

Dr. Taylor holds degrees from Mississippi State University, Mississippi College, and the University of Mississippi, with postgraduate training from the Harvard University Principals’ Center and the Nissan Superintendent’s Academy at Delta State University. Additionally, Dr. Taylor is a member of the Mississippi Association of School Administrators, the National Association of Secondary School Principals, and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development.
